CES COUNSELING
CES promotes extensive social-emotional education programs which provide common frameworks for reinforcing positive behavior throughout the year, teaching our students how to be a citizen of good character, social skills, emotion identification, and self-regulation skills.
- 8-Keys to Success taught in grades 3-6 include Integrity, Failure Leads to Success, Speak with Good Purpose, This is It!, Commitment, Ownership, Balance, and Flexibility.
- Character Counts taught in grades K-2 including lessons in Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
- Dialectic Behavioral Therapy skills introduced in grades 3-4 teach students how to think non-judgmentally and use their wise mind to problem solve.
- Zones of Regulation K-6 teaches students how to identify their emotions and use self-regulation skills to maintain.
- Health and Guidance Discovery programs are provided in 5th and 6th grades.
CES has mental health/behavioral specialists that provide services such as functional behavioral assessments, individualized behavior plans, safety planning, counseling, social skills instruction, suicide/risk assessments, and classroom social/emotional instruction.
